  • Berardi developed an interest in fashion when he was very young and by the age of 9, he had already begun saving his money in order to get himself an Armani shirt with leather gusset shoulders.
  • His parents moved from Sicily to Britain in 1950.
  • Antonio won the title of Harper’s Bazaar “Dress of the Year” in 2009, for the dress that he designed for actress Gwyneth Paltrow that she wore to the premiere of the film Two Lovers in November 2008. It was a trompe-l’œil inspired corset black-and-white dress with lace detailing. Antonio also happens to be one of her favorite designers.
  • Berardi decided to start a career in design after completing high school.
  • Shortly after his application to enroll at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design was rejected, he started working as an assistant to John Galliano.
  • As of early December 2021, Antonio showcased his fashion collection at the London fashion week but has done shows in Milan and Paris in the past.
